A person proposed to his girlfriend as she ran the New York Metropolis marathon – a gesture that folks on social media are calling egocentric.
Kaitlyn Curran was operating her first-ever marathon on Sunday when she noticed her boyfriend Dennis Galvin close to the 16-mile mark.
When Curran ran over to say hey, Galvin determined to halt his girlfriend’s race – by getting down on one knee to suggest.
Within the video shared by CBS, which has since gone viral, Curran accepts, hugs her new fiance, locations the engagement ring on her finger, after which proceeds to rejoin her fellow marathoners and proceed operating.
Whereas the proposal seemingly made an unforgettable day much more memorable, many have criticised Galvin for taking the highlight away from his girlfriend’s accomplishment.

Others questioned why Galvin couldn’t wait until his girlfriend had crossed the end line – selecting as a substitute to pause her mid-race and affect her ultimate time.
