Aretha Franklin’s Detroit mansion sells for $300,000

Aretha Franklin’s mansion in Detroit has allegedly been sold for $300,000 (Number 233,964).

The late singer died of pancreatic cancer in August in her Detroit riverfront apartment in the time of age 76.

Based on public documents, her past 5,600-square-foot 1927 brick residence, adjacent to the Detroit Golf Club, has been sold a month, The Detroit News reports.

The paper says Franklin purchased the house in 1993 but almost lost it 2008 because of unpaid property taxes.

Her 4,148-square-foot Colonial-style home in suburban Detroit’s Bloomfield Township remains recorded for $800,000 (Number 623,904).

Franklin estate private representative Sabrina Garrett-Owens stated”that there are not any other properties” which were possessed by the Queen of Soul.

Tributes flooded in to the”border breaking” soul legend after her passing, together with Barack Obama and spouse Michelle describing her as”heavenly and unmatched”.

Still another former US president, Bill Clinton, said in a joint announcement with spouse Hillary that Franklin had been”among America’s greatest national treasures”.

In a statement, her loved ones tagged her “the matriarch and stone of our family”, also stated that her departure was”one of the strangest moments of our lives”.

They exude fans across the world due to their”compassion and prayers”, including:”We’ve felt your love for Aretha and it brings us comfort to know that her legacy will live on.”

Her Detroit funeral, that was a party, lasted over seven hours and featured a wide variety of tributes, together with her intimate friend Stevie Wonder one of the actors.
